Library Operating Information

The library hours are from 8:10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students are welcome to visit us before and after school or during their lunch if time permits. The media center can be reserved for afterschool use by teachers and, in special circumstances, by parents or community members with prior approval by a school administrator. Special workshops may be held at night or on Saturdays for parents and community members. Look for announcements about these under the latest news section on the home page or on the school calendar.

Student and Teacher Services
|
|
Only four years old, our collection offers students and teachers the thrill of checking out newer materials and equipment. Our collection will continue growing to offer students and teachers books, audiobooks, and movies. We have computers available for students to use independently or with an entire class. Presentation equipment is available for teachers to check out as needed. The library will laminate posters or other items for teachers for free. The media center also offers a school supply store where students can purchase those items they have lost or forgotten to replace.
The library promotes and encourages reading through special displays, presentations, contests, and book fairs. Our next book fair is in October. Please call 770-651-5815 to volunteer to work at the fair.
An equally important component of a successful library media center is offering support to teachers for classroom units. We will seek to enrich lessons by providing bibliographies for the teachers, book talks, technology tie-ins, and by offering full scale collaboration or team teaching with Ms. Anderson.
We welcome all suggestions and questions from students, parents, teachers, and staff. Come Visit!

Teachers, Come 'On Down!
We welcome your classes and promise to help your students with everything they need! Bring your classes to the media center to check out books, to sit at tables with more space for projects, to use computers, to do fact driven scavenger hunts, or anything else we can provide.
Teachers can check to see what classes are coming to the library and when there is an open hour as well as reserve a mobile computer lab by checking at the circulation desk. If you find an open hour that will coincide with your lesson plans, email Mandy Anderson to reserve library time. All reservations must be made at least one day before the visit. Please give details in the email concerning the purpose of the visit and your needs so that we can properly prepare to make your class visit a valuable and successful experience.
